Who would you trade for ARod?

Featured Replies

I know it wouldn't happen, but would you be willing as a Reds fan to part with Homer Bailey, Edwin, and Votto or another prospect for ARod?

He makes too much. With Griffey and Milton eating 20+ million of salary the Reds can't afford him.

It's 99.5% unlikely to happen for a bunch of reasons. One may be finances. Would you be willing to part with those 3 players for him?

No because we can't have that chunk of salary tied up in one player.... again.

If I were the Cubs, I would sign Ramirez and offer a package that included Aramis Ramirez, two of their young pitchers and Michael Barrett.

The Rangers play a lot of his salary and the Yankees will likely pay some of it to deal him. So the salary part won't be that big of a deal. I just wouldn't trade all 3 of them for him.

Bailey, Dunn, and Aurilla. The Yankees would need another 3B and some pitching. They can throw Dunn in when they need a SO.

I think they would be much more likely to do it if it included Votto and Edwin than Dunn and Aurilia. I was trying to be somewhat realistic. I think the offer I preseented is one they would at least look at.

Ok I get it, but what if the Yankees paid $8M of $16M he's owed?

If the Yankees paid half of the 16mil, I would offer Votto, Dunn, some free legal advice from the Chris Henry camp, years supply of Montgomery Inn ribs, and GT.:thumb:

Edwin, maybe. The Yankees seem to like sluggers who strike out a lot. So, Dunns' there man.

Since we're speculating....

Reds - Griffey, Encarnacion, Milton and Larue

Is that including what Texas is already paying.

I wouldn't trade a soul on the Reds for him. He is a silent cancer.....Everywhere he goes, his team loses, no matter what kind of talent he is surrounded by. The Yankees won't win another title until he leaves, if he is traded to the Cubs, the Yanks will probably win it all next year.
