Any chance huddy goes in the backfield and they run a 2 back set??? huddy and Schwalbach back there together with king, ahfeld, and Roberts at WR... good luck to the D against that one.

 

What I would do is list him at TE. I would split him out as a WR some times, I would line him up like a like RB sometimes. I would make him the wild card. The 1997 Boone Co TE is NOT what I am talking about. Rotate him in and out and have special little things that he does that would waste a day of prep time for the opposing defense. Plus he would do big big things. They have to use him on offense period.

Two guys who will be Critical are Dylan Turner and Brock Huber. Trent and salmon should be solid on oline, but the team will NEED these two to step up in the off season. I know Huber has battled injury all year. Let’s hope his body gets right this summer.

People have talked oline on here. Again, Johnson and salmon will be solid and the top seniors returning with experience. Turner and Huber will be the the top juniors. Beyond that, some guys are going to need to step up.

The guys we were trying to replace were All State Scott Kuhnhein and Phil Scherer who went on to play D1 football. The guys that ended up as starters did not look like an O Line, skinny, small so on and so on. I believe only 2 got in the 800 lb club. Despite this Highlands broke like every offensive record that year and won state.

Yes as a parent who had a son win 4 in a row now a kid on this team. That is the goal. They will be loaded with talent and no reason they shouldn’t win.

How do we know it’s a different team? It is January. I expect them to be much more talented this year, but they seem to be returning about as much off last year’s roster as the teams that were WAY better than them in 5A last year. Until they show they can finish a game they should have won (like SK) with this current regime, there has to be some skepticism.

They are more talented than the last two years...no one is questioning that. But BG, SW, and CCH all return a good chunk of their roster too. Saying their isn’t no reason they shouldn’t win it is a bit bold.
