Should be a good game, I just can't envision a Blake Bortles led Jaguars offense putting up enough points to win it. Patricia and Belichick are going to make Bortles beat them. They'll stack the box to stuff Fournette and then bring the house on passing downs.

 

On the other side of things, the Patriots will do what they do and that's the short quick hitters and screens to set up the downfield game. If I'm Jacksonville's defense I'm concerned about Gronk. Vance McDonald got whatever he wanted yesterday for Pittsburgh. Can't imagine what Gronk will do if they don't change things up drastically.

I agree with this assessment. The only way I see the Jags causing trouble is to interrupt Brady's rhythm with pressure up the middle or getting a bunch of turnovers, the latter more likely than pressure. I don't think they can do that rushing four. They will have to blitz and get there with it.

 

BB will take your best weapon away, so Fournette will probably be neutralized. Bortles will have to beat them and BB will disguise coverages.

 

I just don't see the Jags scoring enough to win.

Side note since Jags don't get much exposure here. KY boy Keelan Cole has been Jacksonville's best WR in the second half of the season. Undrafted out of Kentucky Wesleyan and has been a surprise pick up.

I'm obviously biased, but I don't think there's a player in the league that can hold their own against Gronk. I agree Ramsey would be more successful than most though.

 

I think what you mentioned is the best strategy. Most interesting aspect for me is how they're going to combat the Lewis, White, Burkhead trio. They figure that out and it doesn't bode well for the Patriots IMO.

 

If Shannon Sharpe is to be believed it will be Ramsey and only Ramsey one on one with Gronk or at least it should be according to him

Some forget they lost a really talented receiver in Allen Robinson to injury. I like Cole. Thought Yeldon had his way against the Steelers, a poor man's Laveon in that he can line up in the slot as well as come out of the backfield, like him as well

First drive of the year... I dont need to be reminded. Personally I think it might have had the Calvin Johnson effect on Bortles. Like Stafford tried to feed Calvin the ball the time. Bortles at one point yesterday had 6 completions to 6 different recievers.

You serious bro? Haha UKMF is a die hard Patriots fan, but I’m about as far from a Pats fan as one could be. Only 1 team would I root for the Pats over and that’s the Steelers. I was rooting for the Pats, because I wanted the Steelers to have the toughest road possible but since I don’t have to worry about that anymore I’ll be sporting teal all week.
