Lexington Christian 56 Paris 14

This shouldn't be that big a surprise ... after the humiliating season opener, LCA has played very well and looks like a fringe top-10 team in Class A. Paris got ripped by Frankfort, too.

LCA had a lot of penalties in the first half. Paris had a lot of turnovers that hurt them through out the game.

LCA recovered 3 fumbles and had 3 INT's with a 6:1 turnover versus Paris.

The referees must have thought it was "Flag Day." :irked: :D

When it comes to playing a good team, Paris folds. The two good teams they have played have beat them, (Frankfort and LCA). When Paris plays Raceland in 2 weeks, Raceland will probably beat them. Paris does not have the discipline and mental toughness to beat a good team. When Paris faces adversity their players fall apart and start pointing fingers at each other. They can beat the weaker teams on athletic ability, but when they face a team that is disciplined, Paris will lose every single time. It looks as though they play as individuals and not as a team. LCA was clearly the better team in this match up.....

I still believe REGION 3 is the strongest in Class A again this year...JMO.

I hate to disagree, but, imo, rgn2 is still the best rgn from top to bottom, as they are in most years, but, I will say rgn3 is a very close 2nd to rgn 2..

rgn 2

Danville, Bardstown, Frankfort, Bethlehem, Lou.H.Cross

rgn 3

Beechwood, NCC, LCA, Raceland, Cov Holy Cross

pretty close

Great win LCA. This team has gotten better every week. It seems when they are challenged they rise up. The future is bright.

Looks like the RAMS and Eagles are on a collision course for the second round. RHS will be READY to get some payback. Good luck to LCA the rest of the way. WE cant wait to see you in the playoffs.

Jimmy I am a Paris loyal, and I have to say you hit the nail on the HEAD...

But let me clear the air- not everyone on Paris' team plays that way. That is too bad, because there are some I see out there that are putting HEART and soul into the game.

I don't even want to get started today OMOs-

I was FURIOUS and mad enough that I couldn't even log on this weekend!

LCA executed well- Their COUNTER play was really nice-

You can tell they are COACHED very well.

So I will say today that I am disappointed in those, (not just one) that are suppose to be leading that team- and got all the hype this year and as the season rolled on. Anyone that was there Friday night saw who was stepping up and giving it all they could!

I would like to say more, but I will save it!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't surprise me. Their D1 prospect is way overrated, and Jimmyv did hit the nail on the head with a tremendous amount of force.

Pigman - I agree with you on that...there appears to be alot of technique and desire missing from some of the players...You CAN coach technique but SIZE & DESIRE are tougher to coach! :thumb:

What really bothered me about the game was the way it ended. At the end of the 3rd Qtr., LCA led 42-6. Time to put the JV & Freshmen in.

But Paris kept their 1st team in there (with Dumphord & big #65, etc.). LCA's JV & Freshmen include guys in the 125 lb. range. Putting them in against Paris' Varsity posed a serious risk; so our varsity had to stay in.

With 2:28 left in the game LCA scored on an interception (making it 56-6). STILL the Paris varsity stayed in. At that point LCA decided to put the Freshmen & Sophomores in anyway.

That just seemed wrong to me. I hope that last Paris TD made their coach proud.... (fyi, it took their 1st team 4 plays to score against LCA's freshmen & sophomores)

Obviously it didn't matter who they kept in, LCA blew Paris out.

I think BLUTO's alias is Bill O'Reilly!;)

I vote for #3 on the list above.

I think this sets up a 2nd round playoff rematch of LCA vs Raceland! :thumb:
