December 11, 20178 yr Port Authority explosion: 3 hurt, 1 in custody after 'attempted terrorist attack' - CNN They're calling the bomb a "low tech explosive device" that was strapped to the body of the bomber, 27 year old Akayed Ullah. Apparently the bomb was so poorly devised that the bomber is still alive, in custody, and only being treated for burns and lacerations in the hospital. Authorities don't seem to have a clear connection between Ullah and ISIS at this point. There were a total of 3 people injured...not sure if the bomber was counted among the 3.
December 11, 20178 yr It seems the number of injured is four total, with the attempted murderer as one of the injured. No injuries are life-threatening. All but two of the lines in the station were open within an hour, because New York is still awesome.

I have a friend in NYC right now and I just text her. Thankfully she is okay but she was apparently in this exact spot last night. Hits a little close to home.

I found out about this because she texted me this morning.

Wonder if he will pay his medical bills like a good citizen? I have my doubts...
