mljhags Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Carl Schoellman with a 3 at the horn to put Birds in win column for first time this year. Rob Gabbard leads Birds with 22 points.
DukeDog Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Ugggggh. As said on the St. Henry broadcast, that’s a gut punch for the Cru.
Just Jim Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Congrats to the Bluebirds on the win. St.Henry needs to get their act together. They do not know what is a good or a bad shot, and who should be taking them. Their entrance passes for the most part to the inside are atrocious. They continue to get beat down the lane on defense. I could go on, but think I need the 24 hour rule.
Mustang Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Ugggggh. As said on the St. Henry broadcast, that’s a gut punch for the Cru. Is a podcast/archive available????
ColonelPops Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Two teams that are going to struggle this year. One key difference is that St Henry can see light a few years down the road.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Is Bessler playing any JV at this point? Did the Cru win the JV game?
Qryche11 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Two teams that are going to struggle this year. One key difference is that St Henry can see light a few years down the road. Why not the Birds? Who won JV game?
Just Jim Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 St.Henry won the JV game. I got there early 4th and they were up quite a bit. Non starters were playing and Highlands cut the lead to 3. I think it was #22 was throwing in some bombs for Highlands. St.Henry put starters back in and won by 8 or so. Bessler did play JV for St.Henry.

I could go on, but think I need the 24 hour rule. I was not at last night’s game. From previous Cru games I watched, I think floor leadership is missing. Need someone to “direct traffic” on defense. I also question the line up and playing time decisions. Faust is loyal to his seniors and that is admirable, for sure. But talent is talent and that’s who has to play to get the results, IMO.
colonel-fan Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Is Bessler playing any JV at this point? Did the Cru win the JV game? Bessler is playing JV now.
MentschTrachtGottLacht Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Bessler is playing JV now. Even after getting moved to Varsity the other night?
colonel-fan Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Even after getting moved to Varsity the other night? Good question. This is what I told Wednesday, so my info may be out of date.
Just Jim Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 Even after getting moved to Varsity the other night? He did get moved up to varsity the other night (vs.Ryle). McArtor is hurt and it helped the numbers bringing him up (even though they are different type players). In varsity action,he probably played about 8 minutes in the Ryle game and less than that in the Highlands game. So, yes he is still playing JV along with getting some varsity minutes.
