There used to be a place near Pompilios in Newport called "Risins (sp)"? Not sure if it is still around. Buddy took his bug there when we were youngins.

Don Jr. in Union is an owner/operator business and they work on all vehicles.

Bill's Mini Car (BMC) in Newport. They used to specialize in 'mini' cars, especially VW's. However, I'm not 100% sure they still do mechanical work - they might just rent cars now.

There was, might still be I'm not sure, a small shop right by Xavier. I know it's not NKY, but it's close. it's a family shop behind a house and they only work on VW's.

There was a place in Ft. Mitchell attached to a Marathon maybe? Right off the exit, found that fella to be extremely fair in pricing.
