November 9, 20178 yr In this thread, name for us that big name group/artist that you have ZERO desire to ever listen to, however there is that one song of theirs that you just can't get enough of. One group for me is the Rolling Stones, I have ONLY one song of theirs on my phone and I love it to death........

November 9, 20178 yr Well look who it is...:ylsuper: "Get back, Get back, Get back to where you once belonged..." Here's you're Welcome Home present... Never could stand these guys... [video=youtube;z9Hr2dARH-E]
November 10, 20178 yr OK...I'll give them 2 songs, but after that, "Just shut the hell up Axl"!!! Slash is fine with me, but I just wish that I could rewrite history and have him as the lead guitarist for an all together different band.
November 10, 20178 yr I get the appeal, but after this no doubter hit, the rest is much of the same that just misses the mark for me, and ultimately just gets on my flippin' nerves.
November 10, 20178 yr Previous to me coming out of the closet one of my Catholic parent's other concerns about me was my Metalhead tendencies. They weren't to keen on album covers such as AC/DC's - Highway To Hell, or Iron Maiden's - The Number of the Beast...:lol2: So to meet them halfway with hopes of reliving their anxiety and calming their fears, I presented to them the Christian Metal band Stryper, and while I tried my best to really like them (even seeing them twice in concert while all decked out in yellow and black like a bumble bee), other than this one song that did do it for me, the rest pretty much cheese balled me out. (You should have seen my parents jump to attention with forked fingers and head banging... Just kidding of course). Wow...just check out the high note that ends this tune...
November 10, 20178 yr While technically he was my first ever arena concert when I was 17, outside of these two songs which I really do dig a lot, he gets on my nerves, not to mention not being able to get behind his insufferably disturbing and twisted outlook on just about anything.
November 10, 20178 yr While I've always been a true fan of progressive rock including such bands as Yes, early Genesis, and Rush, the erratic keyboard playing of Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake, & Palmer, (no offense to the deceased) would tap dance on my last nerve. With that said, I did like 3 of their tunes, mostly because I liked Greg Lake's voice, and they weren't so keyboard oriented.
