Final

Bracken wins first ever playoff victory in ground and pound classic marked with more penalties than I have ever seen in a high school game. Never speak ill of officials; but they never had this game under control.

We / Raceland have ran into that scenario a couple of times this season.

Congrats to Coach Brausch and the Bears!

Heard Bracken refused to shake hands after the game. What's up with that?

Shouldn’t be forced to do that anyways.

I have no idea if that is true or not. However, I sat on 50 with a longtime friend and former D1 player. Both of us wondered why this crew's whistles were so slow. Slow whistles invariably lead to late hits and then flags. Lots of late hits lead to hard feelings. Golly, this game had far to many penalties and hard feelings. White hat appeared confused all night. I know nothing about this crew; but, it just appeared they weren't 100% on their game...or, if that was their game, perhaps hopefully this seasoning will prepare them for the future.

Bracken did not shake hands because Fairview had 2 players be ejected in the final minute of the game. Bracken was afraid there would be a fight or something causing some of Bracken’s players to be suspended for the next game. Smart move on Brackens part. Fairview has nothing to lose at that point.
