Pleasure Ridge Park 37 Cooper 12

Featured Replies

Cooper started off the game very well and was winning the field position battle most of the first half. It was a 0 to 0 game with 8 minutes to go in half when the game turned on 70 yard interception that PRP returned for a td. Prp would get a another td before half on a short field, and then took the opening second half kickoff back for a td. Prp went on to pull away on the score board from there. If i heard right Cooper actually had more yards in this one. Prps big plays though made a big difference.

Best of luck to the Cooper seniors, they are great young men. Good luck to PRP the rest of the playoffs.

Congrats to PRP for traveling north and getting the win. Sound like few bigs plays took it’s toll on the Jags.

Congrats to the Jags for continuing to compete and with nearly all of the team returning next year the future should be bright.

Triple option offense ( watch Georgia Tech) is the answer for next year. They have the guys to run it .

Triple option offense is the offense you want Cooper to run next year?

That's not happening, nor should it.

Yea because running the spread offense with no wide receivers is beneficial...

Overreaction. They were a young team. Freshman qb, two sophomore wrs got solid playing time, 2 junior wrs. A sophomore rb. The key was for them to learn the system and should see much improvement next year with that. Look at Campbell County they were bad last year but they played a lot of younger guys, and then this year they were a lot better of a team because of the experience they got the year before during a bad season.

You don't change a whole system, especially to a triple option offense. The triple option offense is not an offense you decide to run and automatically good at it. You would have dedicate your whole program to being a triple option offense, even all the way down to the youth level if you want to have great success with it.

From the sounds of things Cooper did show much improvement as the year went at the end of the season. You don't change from that, you build off of that.

Triple option is wayyy to complex. God ole Wing T would be better. If they could run it half as good as Scott Cty they would win a bunch of games. You can certainly incorporate some QB options out is the wing T. Fake hand off to the tailback teen option off the wing back. Need some good OLine though

No triple option is ran without horses up front and solid fb which has not existed at Cooper since 2012 so adjustments have been made to the personnel on hand. To suggest that the offense that has been one of the most productive in not only NKY but the state over the last 6+ years is far fetched at best. Losing a two-time All-State WR and two school record breaking QBs and RB's over the last 2 seasons to graduation took a toll offensively, it happens. As previously stated, this was one of the youngest teams in the state this year led by a freshman QB so it's short-term pain for long-term gain and this team will be much improved next year and should make a longer run in the playoffs over the next couple of years......RELAX
