West Carter is open due to Coach Brown retiring.

Anyone idea where they look for their new hire after Coach's retirement?

For what it's worth, we try to leave the "master" open jobs thread for after the season is completely ended - so after the championships have been played. Individual open jobs are fair game as they come open, but they each need their own individual thread, and then we'll start compiling the master thread sometime in mid-December.

I edited the original post to just discuss the open job that was mentioned in it.

I suspect they will stay in house. They have some quality young assistants.

Kevin Brown became the head coach in 96 when I started at Mason. Wonderful man , very good friend, and outstanding football coach. He has done a great job building that program. I have missed seeing him every October since coming to Mercer. I am thankful our paths crossed.

If I were playing for him I would play balls out this Friday vs Boyle!

West Carter hasn't been an easy place to win over the years. Coach Brown got the most out of his players and is leaving the program in better shape than it's ever been. The next coach will inherit some good classes coming up.

I'm sad to see him go because he's been such a familiar face and name around NEKY for over two decades. The Brown family is synonymous with West Carter football. But, when it's time, it's time. Enjoy your well earned rest, coach.

A name to watch out for IMO would be Daniel Barker. Great Young coach on staff.

Looks like you called it. Per Aaron Snyder's twitter, Daniel Barker has been named the new head football coach at West Carter.
