Dark horse comes from the east. But only to lose in the Finals. I have watched this Beechwood team and they are very talented. They won’t lose toba 1A team.

In western Ky., Crittenden County and Campbellsville have the potential to get to the semi-finals.

 

In eastern Ky., I don't see Paris. The one tough team on their schedule beat them. Pikeville has played tough teams but hasn't beaten any of them and was only somewhat competitive against Hazard. If I have to pick someone, I will go with Pikeville based on the Battaille impact giving them a boost. Personally, if he is capable of playing QB and Pikeville doesn't play him at QB, I think it is a mistake. That is where he is a real difference maker. If I knew he was playing QB, I would go with Pikeville as the dark horse without hesitation.

Who was out for Paris? It's one of those games you question along with Nicholas County.

Injuries didn't matter at that point in the season that was week 4. We just weren't ready to play. Although we only gave up 16 points it was gonna take this offense a little longer to get going. Once you see us against Raceland you will understand.

I'm just saying Raceland has given up 3 more points then Paris has on the year with a battle tested schedule that includes teams like Ashland, Paintsville, and Somerset. Paris has no one to compare someone like Raceland to.

Understandable... if Raceland gets past Brossart and they should, it will be decided on the field. Cant argue the schedule ...

I understand perfectly what you were doing and I know they were not rankings but I was just saying that when it came to Paris and Ludlow, the strength of each's opponent's schedule didn't matter, because Paris was clearly the best team, even though Ludlow's schedule was a lot tougher!

Ludlow, Paris, and Williamsburg schedules are all about the same strength. If you took off Beechwood on Ludlow and Berea off of Paris, they'd average around same strength. They're both sort of outliers for both teams.
