With by some estimates that Chip Kelly is the top prize in this coming off season coaching search, does Florida's actions this morning force UT to go ahead and fire Butch to get into the Chip Kelly bidding war now?

 

Kelly has reportedly stated that where ever he goes it will come down to the ability to recruit and recruiting budget as well as the schools overall investment in football.

Florida gets first choice is the hottest coach. Way to go Vols, enjoy seconds.

They will go the safe route with Randy Shannon who could take the job altogether. Unless, they want to take a run at Charlie Strong.

 

Strong makes more sense at UF. Wonder if Tenn would bring back Lane change?

Regardless of whether or not Tennessee fired Butch before Florida had fired Jim Bob Duggar, Florida would have had first choice between the two schools of the coach they wanted, IMO. Florida is the hot bed of recruiting. Tennessee is not. Florida would be a much easier place to recruit to as well. It's been a while since Tennessee has been relevant. Also, I'd probably rather live in Florida as Tennessee as I figure most would. Another factor regardless of who the schools hire they will not step in and finish the season. Someone will be named interim coach to finish the season for these schools at the least. Butch may actually finish the season even if he is fired. These are all obviously my opinions.

Florida will never go after Les, IMO...he unfortunately would be a great fit in Knoxville, I really hope they don't hire him.

Les to the Vols makes a lot of sense
