Supposedly thunderstorms on Friday, but depends where you're located. None the less, looks like it'll be a soggy Friday night.

We have not been a juggernaut offensively all year. Luckily our defense has been very good. I'm not sure if or how much Damon Black will play Friday so that doesn't look like it will change. Our pass defense is better than it was last year and I expect Brossart to have a very hard time finding points. I expect a big night for Judd Adkins and Hunter Lacks running the football. Especially if the freshman QB is in the backfield with them.

No but the quality of competition is why. The Lucasville Ohio game and Fairview game shows they will put the big numbers up against lesser teams. I'm not trying to say Bishop Brossart is a less team but they are not the team they were for the past two years. But with a solid QB and the big time wide receiver they are potentially dangerous because no one wants to have there season end especially the seniors.

Donnelly can definitely be a game changer. Everyone here is well aware of that. I don't think the QB will have very much time to let things develop. Watching on film there are absolutely things we can take advantage of and put up points. Depending on the status of Damon I think our approach changes dramatically. I think we will score and they will struggle to find offense. I look for our running numbers to be the bigger numbers this week.

It is grass but the surface was redone this year and it is in great shape. Turning brown with the weather but very well groomed. There hasn't been a game played on it for almost a month. I don't see field conditions really playing a part.

They promised to fly the crop duster over the field for hours before game time to assure that it is a dry condition.

Oh, the fire trucks won't be pulling out, they will be sitting there, they are at every game.

Hopefully this is a good game but I think that Raceland will be too much. Good luck to both.

Last year Raceland dictated the game on the defensive side putting 11 in the box, stunting almost every play. I look for more of the same this year unless Brossart can spread them out and reverse the role of setting the tone. They’ve got to work the middle of the field better and give MacDonald the ability to check off when he recognizes the defensive set. Brossart has some nice athletes but they have to keep Raceland honest.
