There will be a lot of blowouts in the first round as usual, but there are always a few good first round matchups. What do you anticipate will be some good games next week?

Garrard County vs. Fleming County has potential to be a decent game.

Prestonsburg vs. Middlesboro could be a decent game.

I'll start with a few from Region one:

 

Graves County at South Warren 5A

Hopkinsville at Warren East 4A

Allen County at Madisonville 4A

 

Owensboro at Bowling Green 5A may not be very close but it is odd to see such a big rivalry game in the first round.

Conditional comment. Should Chisolm be signicantly less than 100%, the Butler/Ryle game all of a sudden becomes interesting.

Bourbon County and Greenup County could be a great game

England is hurt also.

Anderson @ Fern Creek

Harlan @ Pulaski

Dixie @ Bullitt Central

Graves County vs South Warren

Oldham County at Highlands may be a good one. Both teams have been up and down. Oldham County has 4 losses, a 10 pt loss to South Oldham, 6 pt loss to Henry County is only bad loss but was season opener. Lost to Bullitt Central by 2 with starting QB out and Backup injured in first half finished with 3rd string QB.

Lost to Collins by 7.

Oldham is finally getting healthy and when healthy in good weather run and pass well, may be able to hang with the Bluebirds.

Shelby Co @ Taylor Co looks like it could be close

Bourbon County and Greenup County could be a great game

I think Dixie Heights @ Bullitt Central and Eastern @ Campbell Co. will also be competitive.
