I don't look for a rematch. I look for Campbellsville to beat Russellville in the Second Rd.

 

If it's the rockets/eagles regional final, where will it be?

Crittenden Co will be at home as long as they keep winning.

It was no fluke. Both teams played hard & the Rockets came out on top. Maybe it was a "fluke" that Crittenden has been overlooked all year. I'm hoping for a rematch to put this to rest but I also think the Panthers will get beat before it can happen.

I would have picked Campbellsville over Russellville but their quarterback got hurt against Bethlehem and I'm not sure if he will be back. Their offense is quite a bit different with that kid at QB.

 

As for the location question, Crittenden County has clinched home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The only "road" game they would play would be in the state championship game.

In some ways, yes it was a fluke. Crittenden's defense has been terrible. Holding Russellville to 21 points was a bit of a surprise. But this isn't the Russellville team of recent years and nowhere near as dominant against the run as they have been. They allowed Crittenden to have a 100-yard back with a chuck and duck offense.

 

If Crittenden figures out they can run a healthy Nesbitt 20+ times and limit Boone's downfield throws, they could do well in the postseason. I can see a rematch in the region final because District 2 is god awful this year.

I think they hope to have him back by the second round. He is a nice looking freshman, opens up their offense

Crit benefited greatly from three Russellville turnovers. One inside the Russellville 20 and two inside the Crit 20. Russellville should shorten their playbook and get good at a few things rather then okay at a lot of things. To often they wind up just trying to out run the opposing defense.

Talking about under the radar... Campbellsville has continued to improve.. the teams they have played in non-district schedule are a combined 43-22... Should be interesting...

I agree. Campbellsville is a team to watch for an upset win in the playoffs.
