Raceland is a heck of a football team, they put a quality product on the field every single fall! I think the Paintsville D is as good as any in the state!

Just out of curiosity, if you took away 3 big pass plays for Raceland what is the final score of this game?

Paintsville let off the gas late, if they put 4 quarters together, they can play for a title!

Officials reset play clock and did the same tonight, the one time that it happened.

It happened every time. They reset it one time because coach Salmons finally told them he wasn't calling plays as long as the music is on.

If you bothered to read any of the posts you will see that I clearly said Paintsville is very good and the horrible officials were not the deciding factor in this game. They are good enough to play at Kroger field for a state championship. That does not mean that the officials were not horrible in this game.

Anxious to see VOR’s rankings this week. He has kept Paintsville solidly in the 4 spot for most of the season. Paintsville beat the top 3 teams in the east in 1A head to head. KCD slipped past a Frankfort team who is maybe a top 10 team and maybe not...

Personally, I would put Paintsville at 2. They have beaten the best teams their side of the bracket. I haven’t seen KCD, but the Tigers have performed well against a solid schedule.

It is a tough call. I would probably lean toward Paintsville at #2, but it is so close it would be hard for either side to get too upset whichever way it goes. The nice win over Raceland by Paintsville and the close game by Ky. Country Day over Frankfort might give the edge right now to Paintsville.

I agree with all of that. Beechwood should be the 1. Paintsville has a strong case, maybe even moreso if they can get a win at Fleming who just won their district. I think the gap is not as wide East vs Beechwood, as some may think. The top 3 or 4 in East have beaten teams from all classes. The playoffs guarantee to be exciting!
