Mike Leach on CFB Playoffs

Featured Replies

I’m not going to complain because I like the 4 team playoff a lot more than the BCS, but I would like to see it be expanded to 8. I think Georgia is the 2nd best team in the country this year behind Alabama but chances are they both won’t make it to the playoffs like they deserve if they both make it to the SEC Championship game undefeated.

Then the SEC Champ game becomes a playoff game. I think Georgia is going to beat Alabama anyways.

Can't get past the first sentence. I don't need to see Alabama/ Ohio State/ Clemson/ etc. play the winner of the MAC. That's a waste of everyone's time. I think if you would have went with an 8 team playoff with 5 auto births for conference champs, 1 birth to the best group of 5 school, and two at larges. Then have a committee seed after the 8 schools are determined. 16 is way too many. Personally I like the 4 team playoff, and my stance on it has changed over the years, but I would be fine with an 8 team playoff. But absolutely no more than that though.

I like this and think that it will eventually happen--5 conference champs, 3 at-large with at least one of those being a group of 5 school.

Disagree, this year the SEC Championship game should be the National Championship game IMO and I hope we get to see a 2nd rematch between Alabama and Georgia in Atlanta since the SEC and National Championship are both in the new Georgia Dome.

Spin zone very well done. I See what Baxter is saying but I tend to agree with what you are saying more. Conference play especially the conference finals game can be a Faux playoff game.

Your SEC bias is showing strong.

That's exactly what it is. Georgia gets the chance to make the playoff. Beat Alabama on a neutral field in Georgia and you're in. That's a playoff game, win or go home.

Not bias, I just believe that UGA and Bama are the two best teams in the country and nobody is close to them.

Not biased :lol2: Nobody close to them? Laughable.

UGA won't beat Bama, UGA not gonna beat Auburn. Their offensive system is right in Bama's wheelhouse and they play Auburn in Auburn (tough place to play). Can't beat Bama in a phone booth. Spread them out and have some QB runs then you can beat Bama. I don't think Bama (not gonna even mention UGA in this) is way better than the field. They have some tough games left on the schedule (LSU and Auburn).

This is one of the most wide open years I can remember in recent history. Anyone that thinks Bama, Georgia, Penn State, TCU, or anyone else is a leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else simply isn't watching much college football. Every team in the country has some huge flaws that if you're being honest as a fan make you nervous about whether they can overcome or correct their flaws in time to beat great teams.

Says the guy who is claiming Penn State is going to beat Michigan and Ohio State by a combine 100 points...:lol2:

There's no need to change it. 4 is plenty.

It'll work out fine this year, just like it has the past three seasons.

You'll get Georgia/Alabama, the B1G champ, the ACC champ, and then either the B12 or Pac12 champ.

Oops I didn't mean to put Penn State in there. The rest of the season is all about who comes in 2nd. Penn State will beat OSU and Michigan by 100 points. James Franklin is the greatest coach of all time. Saban and Meyer who? Trace McSorley is the second coming of Aaron Rodgers and Saquon Barkley is Barry Sanders reincarnated. :lol2:

Penn State sets up perfectly for the defense of both Alabama and Georgia which both defensive strengths are run defense. If there is any weakness in either team it's their secondary.

Georgia's weakness right now is their QB's accuracy which IMO isn't really a weakness, Fromm is a true freshman and will get much better as he goes. Alabama's offense is pretty well rounded, people can talk about Hurts not being able to throw the ball all they want, but he doesn't get many chances to take shots down field to show off his arm.

I'm not sure if Georgia can beat Alabama but they're definitely 1 & 2 as far as I'm concerned.

Crazy talk my man. That's straight crazy talk.
