This type of offense is best run with a pro style, pocket QB who can make intermediate throws when he has to. Hurts is a QB who fits best in a system where he can get the ball to playmakers in space. Maybe I'm old fashioned and want my QB to be able to go through progressions and anticipate throws. Hurts doesn't do that. The ground and pound strategy is fine now, but someone's going to stop it and how is Hurts going to react within the new system (to him) when it does? LSU may be able to do it with the players up front, but they won't face anyone with the players to stop them until Auburn. They play one of the easiest schedules Saban has ever had. By the end of the season they may have beaten 1 team who finishes the season in the top 25. That's crazy.

The SEC will have at least 5 teams in the top 25 by years end You and I have different definitions of very mobile. Hurts is a very mobile QB, Blake Sims was a very mobile QB. Jake Coker was not. The SEC will finish the year with 3 top 25 teams. Bama, Georgia, LSU.
