Ashland - Buy or Sell?

Featured Replies

Do you buy when it's a bargain or when it is demanding a premium? I think Ashland right now would be a buy becuase I don't think they have played a complete game yet. If they can eliminate the mistakes they would make you a nice gain when you sell. risk vs. Reward

First of all getting beat your first game of the season does not mean nothing.Second of all Raceland is a good team getting beat by them is no shame.Ashland can compete with any three A school look for Ashland to go far in the playoffs.

I agree. Ashland's first game this season was unfortunately a learning experience, at least personel wise. No offense to Raceland, which has a fine team and a strong program, but this Ashland team is not the same team that played in that first game both by players positions and their level of confidence. I only hope that Ashland can keep up the momentum that they have been riding and carry it on into the deeper rounds of the playoffs.

You are correct Graybeard. I certainly hope that the Tomcat players aren't talking all about JC and looking past anyone.

I don't believe the players are looking ahead. Most know what can happen if you don't take care of the task at hand (Raceland). I think they know that JC will be a very tough game but most of the talk from Ashland concerning this game I believe is coming from the fans. :D

My question to Ashland fans, is what type of team do you have. Last year there was alot of hype coming from the JC fans (myself included) and not from anyone else about how good we were. Last year Ashland was very impressive on the defensive side of the ball. They had the quickest defensive line we saw last year. Is this team simular? I thought we would win that game by two touchdowns. This year I walk away from every game wondering if we are that good or is everyone we play that bad. One thing is for sure JC has done every thing they could do with the schedule they have, and Ashland has some impressive wins also. If Ashland is as quick on the defensive front as last year you could give anyone fits. I also think a steady dose of Blake Johnson in the first half would have opened Blume up later in the game. Last year Ashland had good skill people on the offensive side of the ball, with big play capability that killed us last year. Is that something that you have this year? If you don't have that type of speed on defense to stop the big play from Grimm and company it will get ugly in a hurry. If you do and you are as small as you were last year on the defensive front, I would say Blake Johnson carries us to victory.
