October 4, 200619 yr Wow that is a pretty weak list of Shooting Guards! Which a lot of good ones did go pro last year with Roy, Foye, Redick, etc. Lofton is a great player and he seems to fit in great at UT. Is he the most talented? No he isnt. Is he the best shooter? Hes definitly up there. Hopefully by the end of the year Joe Crawford will be way up on the list!!

Didn't take time to read the list, but from reading your post, I assume he didn't include Paulus.....If he's doing a top 10 list, no way should Paulus be included.....He didn't impress me much last season.

Take a look at the list... He's not on the top 10 or the top 20... Shakur is at 17... It's a list with a lot of BOLD predictions. I find it hard to believe that there are 20 PGs in the country better than Paulus though.

He wasn't impressive because of three factors: 1 - Krzyzewski purposely held some of him back. 2 - JJ Redick 3 - Shelden Williams You do know that there are only 4 people to lead the ACC in assists as a freshman right? I believe they were Ed Cota, Kenny Anderson, Jeff Jones, and Greg Paulus.

No doubt he was held back some, but based off his performance last year, he isn't a top 10 PG, at least not yet. Paulus leading the ACC in assists is a little misleading IMO. I think I could have a fairly high APG if I had guys like Redick and the Landlord to dish it to.

But he was inconsistent last year and hurt Duke at times. I understand he was only a freshman, but not putting him in the top 20 is not that far-fetched.

Again, that's not the only fluke I see with his list, but that was the most noticeable IMO. But this thread is about Lofton and the SG list, and I apologize for getting off topic.
