This game is huge for both teams...... one team will be staying undefeated in the district standings. I respect Lincoln Co and all they have accomplished last year and this season. This game I said from the start scares me. It being played at Lincoln Co will give them the home crowd and field advantage. GRC has the ability and talent to win this game. GRC has not put away some teams I thought that they would, but a win is a win. QB position is getting better each week as I knew it would just take some experience and games under his belt. GRC has many weapons they can go to...this may be the deciding factor of the game....I hope so... Special teams will make the difference in this game.

I think GRC will be ready for Lincoln.

 

GRC has two losses by a combined 10 points to Tates Creek and Southwestern. They aren't going to be overwhelmed by the speed of Lincoln's 2 RB's, they are used to playing teams with more speed then that all the time.

 

The game being at Lincoln will even it out a little more but I think GRC wins it 31-27.

It is not only the speed of Miller and Calhoun but overall team speed. I will really be suprised if Lincoln's D gives up more than two TDs Friday night.

Where has GRC saw " teams with more speed than that all the time".

 

From what I understand, GRC brought back almost the entire team from last year. That being said:

 

GRC traditionally plays Lexington teams, also known as teams with more speed than Linclon. They were in a district with Dunbar, Tates Creek, Madison Central, Woodford Co, and Lafayette just a few years back. These teams are all now in the same region and have been for about 5 years.

 

As for specific examples: last year Madison Central had Paul Warford and Ronnie Letcher who ran legit 4.4 and 4.44 40's, respectively. GRC also played against Ty Sparks this season and last from Tates Creek who is a very fast back. GRC also played Dunbar in last years playoffs.

 

I am not doubting Lincoln having 2 very fast backs, but Lincoln lost to PRP which is a team with more overall speed then they have. That is the only team you can compare to GRC or Madison Central in the district. Lincoln beat a good Rockcastle team, but they are a power team, not a speed team.

 

All I am trying to get across is that when Lincoln has faced an opponent this year with more speed then them, they lost. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat GRC, but I am just trying to through this idea out there.

I would also put GRC's team speed up against Lincoln and take my chances. Modok you are writting a big check, I hope Lincoln is prepared to cash it. Lincoln may or may not win Friday night that remains to be seen,but because GRC beat a 1 win Bryan Station team,that has only score 80 points and given up 200, is not such a great feat.

Both teams are playing well, but with a week off, Lincoln playing very much inspired football, I see them pulling out a close one. 28-21
