The home team takes it. Emma Kaiser connected on all six of her point after kicks.

Thanks for posting the game final and for the info about Kaiser.

Lincoln County 42 Clay County 6

This was my first trip to Lincoln County and the Death County Bowl, and I have to say this was one of the best ran bowl games I have ever attended. Easy parking, very fan friendly, the people working the game was as good as they get and the little perks were very nice. Just to name two of the perks, all fans were handed a colored program and there were fans for the fans, who wanted them. Then some of the students were walking the stands and making sure everyone had one of the very nicely put together programs.

Things started off nicely for Lincoln County's defense, with Christian Verga (5-11 243 Sr,) teamed up with,David Brock(5-9 135 Sr.) to stop big running back, Tanner Revis(6-5-220 Sr) for a two-yard loss, at the 11:06 mark of the first quarter. Defense continued to run the show for most of the quarter, until Charlie Hibbard(5-9-165 Soph)broke to his right on his way to a twenty-four-yard run, with 5:29 showing on the clock.

Just when it appeared Clay County was on their way to the games first points Nathan Bishop((6-2-210 Soph) fumbled the ball after a long run and it was picked up by Kristian Silverthorn of the Patriots, with 5:14 left in the quarter. The big question for me at this point of the game was how would Clay County handle their first mishap of the season?

The Patriots quarterback, Bryson Yaden(6-0 185 Jr.) hooked up with,6-0 165 Soph. Zach Hazlett for a first down, but then my question would be answered in a big way, with a little of three minutes left in the quarter. Yaden would be picked off by the Tigers,Chase Mayfield(5-10 155 Sr.) That play was big at the time as it showed that the Tigers defense was not ready to get down, after the offense put them back on the field as soon as they did.

The Tigers offense would have one nice play before the quarter ended and that was a twelve-yard run by Hibbard, with 2:21 showing on the clock.

At the 11:49 mark of quarter number two Hibbard took off on what looked to be a nineteen-yard touchdown, but he fumbled the ball and Lincoln county was able to get possession of the ball, then the ball squirted out of bounds. So the Patriots would get the ball on their own twenty-yard-line to start their drive.

With 10:20 left in the half Yaden connected with, THE NEWARK CATHOLIC FAN PLAYER OF THE GAME, 6-5 255 Jr. Sawyer Carrier for a long gain. Their was a fifteen-yard penalty tacked on after the catch and run to give Lincoln County a first down at the Tigers thirty-one-yard-line. The drive fizzled out a short time later and this one stayed scoreless.

Revis was stopped by Hazlett and Josh Salyers (6-1 176 Sr) for a short loss, as the Patriots defense continued to stand tall.

On third and four for the Tigers, Revis was held to a one-yard gain, after he was hit hard by,Ethan Carmen(5-7- 180 Jr.)to bring up a fourth and three, with 6:17 remaining in the scoreless opening half.

Carrier would haul in a Yaden pass and take it to the Tigers forty-yard-line, giving the Patriots a very big first down. The drive ended when the same combination hooked up for a twenty-yard touchdown pass, with 5:09 left in the half. The point after by,Emma Kaiser(5-7-145 Sr) made this a 7-0 game. The drive totaled eighty-one-yards and lasted four plays.

Hunter Combs(5-9-165 Jr) got the ball back for the Patriots, when he recovered a fumble by the Tigers, at the 3:07 mark of the quarter.

Three plays and thirty-two-yards later Lincoln County scored again. The scoring play was a Yaden pass to Carrier, that went for thirty-one-yards. Kaiser made it 14-0 with her kick, with 2:22 left in the half.

Carrier would show off his skills on the Defensive side of things, when he got to Hibbard for a four-yard loss with 1:29 left.

Lincoln County would go up 21-0 after a six-yard run by Tra Carey(6-2 230 Sr) and the point after kick by Kaiser.

There were only 15.2 seconds left after the score, so the teams headed to the locker rooms, with the home team leading 21-0.

The second half would have four more scores. with three of them coming from the home team.

The first score came on a twelve-yard run by Darius Napier(6-1 170 Jr.) with 8:34 showing on the clock. The score was set up by a long kickoff return by Napier. The kid is quick. Kaiser easily hit the point after kick to make this a 28-0 score. Kaiser looked like she had close to forty-yard range. I say this after watching her during warm ups. This became a 28-6 game after the Tigers got a five-yard touchdown run by Revis. The two point run play was stopped when, Carmen stopped Chandler Hibbard (5-9-164 Soph) short of the end zone, with 4.24 left in the quarter.

With 2:56 left in the quarter Yaden connected with Salyers on a sixty-three- yard score on a 3rd and 11 call. Kaiser made this a 35-6 score with her kick. The final score came on a forty-yard run by Carmen after he recovered a Tigers fumble. Kaiser puts the final touches on her perfect day, with another point after kick to make this a 42-6 final.

Great Job NCF!
Thanks. I put a lot of work into these and really like when others like the write ups.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip. Lots of good folks in Lincoln County! :thumb:

Great job, NCF.

I was given these stats about LC quarterback Bryson Yaden:

16 of 22 for 274 yards and 3 touchdowns. He missed last season after tearing his ACL in the preseason scrimmage. This was a good game for him in many ways.
