Vandy cancels UofL FB series

Featured Replies

Their first choices were FSU and Miami.:thumb:

Maybe those schools are just trying a change in scenery, since they have both had series with UL in previous years. But I can see how from a UL fans point of view all of these teams are scared to play them. As far as Georgia they dont typically have as tough of an OOC schedule as UT and Auburn. Their OOC games this year were WKU, Colorado, and G. Tech. Although Auburns OOC was pretty weak this year.

Me too...

Why would you want UL to go from a national championship contender in the Big East to not even being favorite to win their division in the SEC?

I don't think the Cal game is a yearly series.

Then it will probably be a home game for UT. An even better scheduling move in my opinion. :thumb:

So we ARE a N.C. contender?? ;)

Everyone says the SEC is the best Fball conference, and I'd love to see how we matched up against the nation's best.

We aren't favored to win our conferece yet are still NC contenders.

The SEC don't scare me.

I'd like to see UK and UL swap conferences...

I know it will never happen but I would love to see the SEC pick up Louisville and West Virginia....I know that Morgantown and Louisville are not in the Southeastern United States but Lexington isn't either...

With a healthy Brohm and Bush, I would as well. You would see U of L in the SEC championship at worst...and UK in the same position as maybe making it to be bowl eligible, albeit, behind Pitt, Rutgers, and WVU.

Keep in mind that Notre Dame has agreed to do 3 home and home's with Big East foes in the near future. AS they play some brutal schedules, don't be suprised to see a Pitt, Rutgers, and Louisville matchup.....though I think they will also look at USF (Florida, of course), and WVU as well.

   Put them in either the East or West and they aren't a favorite in either. How can you say they would be in it at worst?

^ Because, IMO, I think they are better than everyone in the EAST including Florida and Georgia...in the west, Auburn would certainly pose a problem and maybe LSU....

I couldn't disagree more.

^ that's what this site is for....but if you don't think that U of L with THIS team would not be highly regarded in the SEC you are CRAZY.

While certainly being capable of making the SEC Title game, to say they would be in it at least, is definitely a stretch.

^ I agree, at worst, was a bad choice of words......I do think that besides Florida the East would not be an issue for them THIS year.

Exactly. Yes they would be a very good SEC team THIS YEAR, but their NC hopes would pretty much be gone, as I believe they would lose a couple of conference games. Sure UL would be a contender to play in the SEC championship this year, but most years they would be another middle of the pack team. As a UL fan, saying you want to be in the SEC is almost the same as saying you dont want to win a NC.
