That music is so inappropriate. Isn't there a LL commissioner who oversees these games? Did you ask around about the music? You know I would have. :taz:

I wish you had been there to kick some butt.

Trust me, no one is jealous of Corbin.

Corbin's better than thou attitudes is what makes Corbin despisable.

I've heard this criticism of my hometown for years. It is unwarranted. No one knows better than I. Born here in '62, still live here. One of my teaching colleagues got hired at Corbin last year after being at Whitley for years. He had always heard the same thing about Corbin- rich kids, entitled, spoiled, holier than thou attitude. Now that he has taught in the system for a year, he admits that the perception he and others had about Corbin was wrong.

Let's face it, Corbin performs better than surrounding schools in athletics and on the gridiron and it's been that way for a long, long time. Corbin takes great pride in being ranked among the best in the state in academic performance and in AAA football every year. Area schools choose to call Corbin snobby or cheaters. Neither is true. Ref, you clearly have personal issues with Corbin. All I can say is, instead of putting the school or community down, just compete harder and try to get better.

Wait, when did this become about Trinity/Highlands? :D

Song title is sufficient, others can look up the words themselves.

It's Corbin. They have their own standards.

I have to concur

We just had Crank Dat at a 12u game in Adair County

Come on man. A few may have an attitude, but the community as a whole... no way!!!!

I'm not saying the people there are bad by any means...just a little different.

I'd love to hear what you mean by "different." You can PM me rather than posting if you want.

Yeah I know the Corbin area and many there. They do feel entitled, are snobby, and feel holier than holy.

I stand by my perception as does thousands of others.

It's not personal, just truth.

I too have many friends there and they even admit to it.

It's YOUR truth , not THE truth.

Again, just work hard and try to get better.

Just what do I have to work hard for to try to get better for what?

Are you trying to say I'm not good enough, now that's the real attitude of a Corbin person.

I'm pretty happy with my life and family and what I do.

I'm afraid it's more common than not. My grandson was playing in a Mighty Mites football game in Pinellas Park (St. Pete/Clearwater area) and some of the bumper music was a bit risque.

At one point, my daughter looked up at the press box and said, "Really?", then proceeded to go up there and read them the riot act. She's such a shy thing. I don't remember the name of the song and I'm not a big hip-hop guy, but we never heard it again.

Kudos to your daughter for standing up about something she knew was so inappropriate.

You have made a lot of false claims about Corbin and its people. Flash back a few months. If I'm not mistaken, you said Corbin is given unfair advantage in home basketball games. I've been to hundreds. Simply not true. All I am saying is that you appear to have personal issues with the people of Corbin. I'm not saying anything bad pertaining to you. I have no issues against any town or its citizens. I'm just defending my townsfolk against unwarranted and completely false charges. I know why those outside Corbin don't like Corbin and it has nothing to do with Corbin.

False claims can't be proven true or false. It's one persons opinion which so happens to be the opinion of many many people.
