Apple Bowl

What would that prove? Matney has no class? Thats about all it would prove to me. If teams like, Belfry, Sheldon Clark, et al. can keep it respectable when they play teams like Magoffin Co. I don't see any reason why JC can't do the same; and you can't tell me that Belfry couldn't hang 100 on MC if they so desired.

You're right. Matney would never do that. I've always heard he likes to stop at 69, and that is class. The 70 against Logan last year was crazy, because he needed all 70.

Personally, I don't have as much class and would like to see 120.

Your right they SHOULD. But if you look back over the years JC hasn't had the number of players they have this year, a few years I think Paintsville out numbered JC.

I was referring to their school enrollment. However you just reinforced my statement. Any year Paintsville dresses more kids on the gridiron than Johnson Central is ridiculous. Johnson Central has close to 1,000 students in grades 9-12. Paintsville probably has around 200. Should JC dress more kids than Paintsville in Football? YES! Should JC beat Paintsville in football every year? YES!

JC has around 125 boys per class to choose from for football. Paintsville probably has around 25 or 30. My argument is that this game shouldn't even be close ANY GIVEN YEAR!

Unfortunately for some JC fans, this remains their most important game of the season. A game they SHOULD WIN on any given year just based on their school enrollment alone.

Are you saying that all of us Tigers use bad language??? Go look at the other site.... I do not see any bad language...

If you would read the post a little closer it says a few of them. So, don't take too much offense before you read it better.

And you can bet that the one when JC and Ashland face off wont either.:D

You are right unless Greenup Co. goes in takes care of business this week. If that were to happen then I think the maroon nation will be a little on the quiet side that week.

They should probably just go ahead and close that one when it opens.

Save everybody some time.

And for those who say the Apple Bowl isn't the most important game on the schedule, you're right...and you're wrong.

In the SHORT term, for this season and this season only, it means nothing. It doesn't change the district standings or the playoff picture.

In the LONG term, however, it means EVERYTHING. You lose this game, county kids start going to Paintsville at a faster rate and you lose the future of Eagle football. THAT is why this game matters so much.

It may have been an accident but they charged me $20.00 for my husband and I.

You should have spoken up, I'm sure it was a mistake and they thought you were paying for more than just 2 people.

It rained this morning in Eagleville, hopefully Paintsville's field has a good drain system.

A little rain never hurt anything.. this is football, who cares how muddy the field is or if it drains well.. strap the cleats on and play.

Here is a pic of the barrel. I have more, give me time to get them on here.

Actually, they would be far from quiet. GC will not be a pushover and have given Ashland great games in the past.

Can you honestly say you have ever seen the Maroon Nation being "a little on the quiet side"?

See you in a few weeks.

It is a very exciting time to be a fan of football. Over the next 3 weeks, this districts play-off picture will start to come into focus. But as we all know and should do, lets take it one week at a time.

I asked this question in the other thread... Does any other teams play for a traveling trophy?
