June 20, 20179 yr Would you consider this a wise statement from what should be a seasoned, experienced politician ? Considering one of his supporters just attempted mass murder . I'm not surprised . I think the man is a lunatic . I know some see a sweet old grandpa who just wants to stick it to corporate America . I see an anti American socialist , full of resentment and anger . A very dangerous man. Sanders: Act in “Unprecedented” Ways, Fight Back in Every Way That You Can | NTK Network
June 20, 20179 yr Bernie condemned the violence last week. :ohbrother: This thread is making a huge stretch.
June 20, 20179 yr Bernie condemned the violence last week. :ohbrother: This thread is making a huge stretch. But today's statement counters last week's. No stretch at all. (ESPECIALLY to some of his lunatic followers)
June 20, 20179 yr Author Stretch ? Last week one of his supporters attempted mass murder . This week he says , to paraphrase " Do what you must do " and you think its a stretch ?
June 20, 20179 yr I'm certainly not a Bernie supporter and like someone mentioned above his "free everything" plan as well as doubling minimum wage concerned me more than anything from the other candidates. But at the same time I don't think he really means any ill will toward anyone. I take it as a bad choice of words at a bad time from an old man. I really doubt he condones violence against republicans.

June 21, 20179 yr Stretch ? Last week one of his supporters attempted mass murder . This week he says , to paraphrase " Do what you must do " and you think its a stretch ? It's a stretch. I'm certain he's talking govt not bullets.
June 21, 20179 yr Author yeah I dont think old coot wants violence either , but his choice of words could play a part. At a time when BOTH parties have requested a toning down of the rhetoric its incredibly stupid to be saying what he said .
June 21, 20179 yr yeah I dont think old coot wants violence either , but his choice of words could play a part. At a time when BOTH parties have requested a toning down of the rhetoric its incredibly stupid to be saying what he said . Agreed. I've been about to the end with using militaristic and violent analogies and terminology when discussing politics for a while now. It doesn't help and all it does is whip your most ardent supporters into a frenzy. It's why I've hated the "Resist" rhetoric from the left since the minute it started after November's election. It doesn't win votes, it just riles up all the folks that already agree with you. ...and it's way easier than coming up with a real plan. The Republicans are certainly feeling it now. Calling Barack Obama a "Socialist" and someone who wanted to "destroy America" was way easier than having a real plan. The danger is that it served them well electorally but now they can't get it together enough to pass the most basic promises in their campaign platform.
