June 2, 20179 yr The accord said by 2025 we had to cut Fossil Fuel production by around 30%. Think of the jobs that cost. Think of your energy bill going up. Secondly the agreement labeled China and India as devolping nations, so they did not have to meet standards that we had to. This agreement was a joke it cost us jobs, money and the ability to compete on the global market with the 2nd largest economy in China. Those on twitter acting like this is the end of the world really do not care about middle class jobs or their ability to pay bills. No one cares about the middle class. No one ever has. No one ever will. I wish for once people would quit acting like anyone cares about the middle class. That is a myth. A fairy tale. It isn't real.
June 2, 20179 yr I just heard on a podcast that it takes a year for the request to leave the Paris Accord to be honored and another 3 years for it to kick in so the US won't be out of the Paris Accord until November 2020. If a new administration wins the election in 2020 then they can get back into the Accord with little lost in the process. Can anyone dispute that information that I just heard? If not then Trump has pulled the wool over everyone's eyes once again. :lol2: :lol2: Yes it's wrong. We can pull our name when ever we want. But of course a future adminstration could sign it. Why couldn't they? But let someone try to win Middle America running on that.

I see disgust at him once again allowing his ego to rule our country instead of his brain. For someone who is supposed to be a businessman he has only shown me one true quality of a businessman. June 2, 20179 yr I will disagree again. This was a smart move because the accord was bad for American. How? Be specific too. I've heard all of the general speculation already. Jobs, we save money, etc. How was it specifically a bad move for America? I mean, I'll be honest. I could care less about the planet once I'm gone. Once I am not here any longer my estate is split up and there is nothing I can offer this planet other than my memory. Fixing the ills of the planet will be on the millenials so you won't have to worry about hearing any save the planet, global warming, climate change rhetoric from me. At the same time, the science is plain as day. I can't take folks seriously who preach about protecting our future but have zero desire to fix the preventable problems that plague our planet. Everyone is different and I know my thoughts are normally isolated thoughts but they are my thoughts. Turning a blind eye to climate change and endangering future generations of our planet is analogous to being pro choice IMO. You can't walk around saying abortion is wrong but then let's not do anything to save the planet for the future generations after us. It's not okay to kill a 3 week old fetus but is okay to kill off generations of people that come after your time on the planet? Again, just my thoughts and I'm sure folks will tell me my analogy is stupid or whatever but that's my brain functioning and how I feel about it. Just the way it is.

We should invest in some Chinese stocks since early reports are that their economy will get a boost from us leaving the Accord. Reports are that Russia benefits as well but we already knew they'd benefit.

So you honestly think that just because they pull out of the Accord that they won't find something else to get into your wallet with? I'm sure you don't believe that just because we pulled out the Accord doesn't mean you'll see those dollars come back to you, do you?

More of my world view on the whole climate change topic/debate. I'm against anything and everything that takes money out of my pocket. :lol2:
