A year where all teams that have ended up winning the state championship have gone 15-0? I was just curious my friends and I were discussing the subject, and I was wondering if anyone had any further knowledge on it.

On a limb here but I would have to think No. There are few and far between that have finished 15-0.

This is a partial list of state champions who finished 15-0. As you can tell, in no season since 1998 has there been all four finishing undefeated.

 

1998

3A: Highlands, 15-0

 

1999

2A: Boyle County, 15-0

 

2000

2A: Boyle County, 15-0

 

2001

2A: Bardstown, 15-0

3A: Boyle County, 15-0

 

2002

1A: Mayfield, 15-0

2A: Breathitt County, 15-0

4A: Trinity, 15-0

 

2003

3A: Boyle County, 15-0

 

2004

None

 

2005

None

 

*- Again, this is just a partial list. I know Breathitt County was 15-0 in both 1995 & 1996. Danville had a couple 15-0 seasons in the past and I'm thinking Male might have had one as well. I'm pretty sure none of those seasons had multiple undefeated teams.

Is there a possibility this year, which i guess there is, but do you all think there will be four state champions, all undefeated. So far you have Danville, Mercer, 3A(?), and Trinity (?) . Anyone see it happening?

In 88,89 and 90 Trinity went unbeaten and won the title. So there are 3 years right there it is possible.

Not in 3A. As all of the top ranked teams have lost.

In 2a i think Mercer Co. will be the one this year.
