September 23, 200620 yr Good road win. K-State has a nice defense, they just didn't get any help from their offense, especially in the third quarter when they had a chance to get some momentum. Who's next for the Cards?
September 23, 200620 yr I guess I deserve some crow here, I totally overlooked this trap game against a BCS foe, and Kansas St. ... Oh, wait. Louisville won by 18. Nevermind. Seriously, though, I think Louisville's offense could have been better in this game. Hunter has to learn to do the little things that Brohm does so well (like looking off your receiver!!!!! look off!!!!) but once again the star to me on offense was those big guys up front. Petrino may blindfold Hunter in practice. He was just STARING Urrutia down on that INT.
September 23, 200620 yr And lets not overlook the defense here, except for one bad read by the LBer (I didn't catch who it was) Louisville would have had the road shut out. Amobi Okoye continues to be the centerpiece of our defense, every block started with him. William Gay will be getting his head handed to him this week, though.
September 23, 200620 yr I know it's over a month away, but after watching the game today I'm not very confident that UofL can beat WV without Brohm. Cantwell looked good, but nothing stood out. Bottom line, UofL did what they needed to in order to get the win.

I think some Louisville fans fell into that trap of falling in love with the backup QB. Are they close to as good? Maybe, especially at home. I think at home Hunter can do well enough that we wouldn't miss Brohm, but to me his mental game just isn't where Brohm's is at this point in their careers.
