April 14, 20179 yr Almost like we feel good about winning 2 or 3 games taxing our bullpen and then we just role out Arroyo to eat up innings and not really care lol
April 14, 20179 yr After another struggle, Bronson Arroyo impatient for results But two starts into his comeback attempt – the last a six-inning, five-run outing in a 5-1 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday – he doesn’t feel good enough to be a major-league pitcher. He’s not willing to put up with it much longer. “The next two times out, if I don’t see something a little bit crisper and able to keep us in the ballgame a little bit better, maybe you’re at a dead end street,” Arroyo said. “I’m not sure.” That's why I love Bronson. He doesn't want to stick around if he knows he can't get the job done anymore.
April 14, 20179 yr We can blame Bronson all we want, but let's don't hide the fact it wouldn't have mattered who pitched. Nelson was money for the Brewers. They Hamiltoned one run and that was it. Sometimes you get a pitcher that is pretty much unhittable. Tip your cap and move on. Probably good Bronson pitched this one.

Reds pitching has thrown 3 shutouts in 10 games so I wouldn't go as far as to say it wouldn't have mattered who pitched.
April 14, 20179 yr Outside of his leadership in the clubhouse, there is no reason to have Arroyo on the roster. Let Adleman pitch in his spot and you can still save the young guys service time. He'd at least give the Reds a shot in his starts.
