How Long Can the Reds Stay Over .500?

Featured Replies

See post 27. What do the stats indicate?

The stats indicate Homer does an average job at keeping runners in check. He doesn't have the best pick-off move in the league, but people don't run wild, either.

Homer Bailey pick offs:

2007-1

2008 -0

2009-1

2010-1

2011-1

2012-0

2013-0

2014-1

2015-0

2016-0

Obviously, if your on the DL.......................

For Homers' 10 year MLB career, 5 pickoffs total. This would indicate that he doesn't have a good pickoff move. :lol2: :lol2:

And yet runners can only steal at an average rate. For not having a very good pick off move, he must do an outstanding job keeping their lead down and get the ball to plate.

Glad we can agree on the bolded. :thumb:

Been at .500 twice now and tonight could dip under .500 for first time since Opening Day unless they can rally.

Will they ever get above .500 again in 2017?

May back to .500 a few times over the next week, but it won't last long.

I'm hoping we can get back above .500 soon, we go back to STL to close out the month.

They need a nice winning streak because they are obviously going to have some long losing streaks (2-8 in last 10). If they don't do something against STL and PIT in the next 7 games, we may have seen the last of .500 until 2018.

Back to .500

If only they could play the Pirates more: 6-1 vs Pittsburgh, 8-13 vs everyone else.

Or, you could say 6-1 vs. the Pirates, 1-6 vs. the Brewers, and 7-7 vs. everyone else.

Or if their schedule allowed them to remain Thameless the rest of the season.
