Any word?

The last I heard, they had a whole bunch of candidates and were unfamiliar with many of them.

Have heard that interviews are taking place this week. Would expect them to name a coach by the end of the school year.

Clifford Berry should've been named the coach by now. If he gets the job, who does he hire for assistant coaches?

I know for a fact that if he is hired that Buddy Trumbo will likely join him on the bench. I kind of wonder if Daylen Morris would join the staff as well.

 

From where I stand I can't see anyone in Danville doing more for Danville girls basketball than those three. If Danville is serious about maintaining and advancing their program then they will give these fellas the keys to the program. You won't find people more in tune and invested with Danville as whole than these guys. It's a no brainer decision to me.

This just doesn't seem to be a priority for the school system. Shouldn't take this long to make a decision. Heard from other parents that are being put off by the school when they ask what is going on. My kids love Coach Berry & Coach Trumbo and I would hate to see another school system pick them up when they are what we need here at Danville.

Taking way too long. Summer ball is going to be a disaster. I would hire Cliff Berry this afternoon and let him get started. The clock is ticking.

While I do agree that they should have a coach in place by now I do think that summer ball/team camps is the most overrated thing in high school sports.

The longer they wait, the more I think Danville is not giving the job to Cliff Berry. If they wanted to hire him it should've been done by now.
