I actually didn't think BC played particularly well tonight. They only had 136 yards total offense. They broke one big kickoff for a score, returned a fumble for the other and gave up 63 points. They may sneak into the playoffs but there is No Way they are going to beat Ashland for the number two spot. (yes I realize what I just said) And I'm not sure they can beat Lawrence, Mason and Greenup.

 

I agree they didn't play particulary well, but that's been the thing all year. And it will surprise me if they do get another win this season. I mean there were plays last night when the linemen just stood there and let y'all run past them. Evans needs to back up and punt so to speak, in the sense that he needs to regroup and get players lined out where they are strongest.

But again I digress, I keep forgetting that's not how it works at Boyd. For one, I feel bad for the kids. It's hard on them going through all the losses and having the parents fighting and at the coaches throat.

 

BTW, that smoke is rough! And that one time the ball bounced then thudded in the mud was too funny. Of course the ref hitting the mud was classic. And have you checked that muddy end of the field to make sure no players are still lost?

 

Good win guys, you're on a run, I believe I will come watch you play Ashland just to see how it goes!

Of course you know my favorite player to brag on is Shawn Grim, but I just wanted to take a moment to brag on a couple of others...first Josh Gourdouze...wow what a tough kid...he is a monster on defense and here's hoping the JCHS faithful recognize and give him his props....second Brian Childers...did you see that hit he had...that hit gave Chase Richardson his touchdown. It was nice to see Chase go over and acknowledge Brian after the TD.

 

Now how about that #20! He passed the 1000yard rushing mark tonight! Here's hoping you hit the 2000 yard mark this year! I can't wait to see you running to the endzone cross town next week!

Actually Ashlands opponents overall record was 14-8 as of Sept 18th. Raceland, Belfry, Russell, and P-Burg all won this week which brings it to at least 18-8. I dont know about P-West.

I agree with you! Gordo had a blocked punt, which I said I wanted to see in the prediction thread. The referee should have took a bow or tipped his hat after the fell :lol: Shawn Grimm is going to look like Tiki Barber on Madden '07 vs. Paintsville. The only other block I can remember that was as good as Childers was by Nathan McCoart a.k.a. tater in the '02 season vs. Greenup County.

Gordouze has been a great spark for JC this year. O-Linemen just can't handle his quickness.

I agree 100% he has be a big plus on the D-line.

 

It was good to see Chase out on the field this week.
