Why are you so gong ho on Huddy? He was good in freshman ball but he is same size as he was in Jr Hi I hope he fills in but there are other Juniors to be that will be just fine

Blame the coach all you want the talent was not there the last few years. The talent seems to be coming around some. Mueller would not have won with that talent either. I am by no means ragging on the boys who played but they were not as talented top to bottom as they have been.

Exactly why you do not keep doing the same old same old. Also explain to me how the talent seems to be coming around some. I would like to hear your thoughts on why "now" the talent is coming around versus the last 2 or 3 years.

I don't know all the kids but some I do know and they are good. Everyone knew that they were going to hit a few down years and the freshman and JV teams have been pretty dominate haven't they the last couple of year?

Last year the frosh team went either 6 or 7 and 3. The same record as the class of 2016 had. I believe the frosh team of 2 years ago had a similar record as well. The year Hergott was a junior the JV team went 1-7 I believe. It was a little better the last two years, much not "dominant".

 

Is it true that kids this year are learning 2 positions? Wonder why that might be happening. Is that a coach decision? IMO yes it is which is why the coaches have taken some heat the last several years. Better late than never I would say.

Frosh team lost 3 last year... Lost by a touchdown to Trinity. Lost in a nightmare rain storm by 1 at Cov Cath on a missed extra point. Lost to Cooper in a poor performance shocker (HHS would win that game 9 out of 10 times). A very nice season for the team in building for the future despite season ending injury losses with their starting RB/LB and biggest lineman.

I would say Cooper people would disagree. That would be like saying Covcath beats Highlands by 2 or more tds every time if it wasn't for the rain storm.

You gave us no names. Is the kid whom you are referring to learning this as a primary position or as a secondary position. It is my understanding from conversations with some parents that kids are learning both an offensive and a defensive position.
