CCH-Cincy St X Updates

I too was surprised about the X band. What is it with the big bad GCL schools anymore. Not enough students to drown out the other teams "O" without your band? Maybe the CovCath Crazies need to bring air horns back to the game on Saturday, to even up the noise from the visitors side of the field......

Parking, what parking....For such a beautiful stadium parking is a nightmare.......

Colonel-fan, are they just going to let you enter the stands on Saturday, because they took your stub at the gate and you received nothing back.

8) Wasn't going to do this, but what is the deal with GCL bands playing during the game. Is it against the rules or not. Not a big deal, but definately an advantage when the opponent doesn't have a band.

Elder's band did the same thing to us in 2002. Hopefully it will have the same effect on you guys as it did on us.:thumb:

I would imagine they would just open the gates. If not, it's another Catholic school money making scheme...

What did I tell you Bluegrass Fans!!! CardinalsFan was dead on wasn't he.

Don't make mistakes.

Hit them in the mouth.

Don't be intimidated (nice band huh...what a joke! Only the GCL does this)

Come back strong tomorrow CovCath and shock the world! You CAN do it. Believe in yourself and each other.

PS: When Colerain plays X this year, we will beat them by 3 TD's and I am going to love every minute of it. :D

From one CF to another, nice call. Hopefully, CovCath continues to play well tomorow. I would have rather continued tonight, but it is what it is. Go Colonels!

The one thing I kept hear from my friends who follow X is that CCH will get worn down. Will the rest last night help CCH in their efforts? I sure hope so, Hope the CCH players remember the 63-0 spread some in X land were predicting.

No doubt the break helps CCH's D. They were on the field 2/3 of the first half and going up against a big powerful line line X has wears you out. Good break for CCH.

I don't know. It wasn't hot like it was at Nippert against Elder, so maybe CovCath wouldn't have worn down. CovCath seemed to have some momentum starting the second half. Hopefully they can come out with the same effort they were playing with last night.

20 degrees or 90 degrees, battling a bigger team in a run-it-down-your-throat offense takes its toll. This break can do nothing but help the D.

Sounds like CCH is giving the game away. They fumbled a punt that led to a TD. They then drove deep into X territory before throwing an INT. 3 straight TOs against a team like X will kill any team.

Its 16-3 late in the game. 4 minutes left in the game.

Flynn has 11 tackles.

Not so sure, as it took me a long time to get home last night. My guess is the St. X players showered and most were at their homes, before the Colonels even got back to CovCath last night. It's tough to ride a bus back to CovCath, then drive back home, then try to wind down to get to sleep. I am sure they had to be back at CovCath by at least 8am or earlier to get ready for the game this morning. My guess is the Colonels were on their way to CovCath, while the X players were still in bed sleeping this morning.... Can't figure out why the Coaches agreed to such a early start to the game. I mean I can understand why X would, but CovCath?
