Might be interviewing on boys side---think girls side is closer to being done.

Had heard the process was winding down......but have heard that several have turned down (withdrawn names) for various reasons.

I wonder what those various reasons are?...This and the boys job seem like they've been open a long time

my understanding is jobs and salaries not matching up.

Heard from someone that was involved in the process that they were told that they were going to start over and take applications again.......so looks like the situation of job matching was not able to be overcome.

Ill guess that this is to wait till the jobs are posted after the school year ends to get more time to secure their choice.

Compared to other districts Nelson County does not have the financial resources to lure a tenured teacher, because the pay scale is not high enough. They want someone in the building and there are very few openings. My guess is they will hire someone with less than 10 years of experience teaching or someone that is already in their system.

They are also looking for a new principal.

The district is in shambles, finally it appears that the community is figuring out how bad the leadership has been. I feel there may be a change coming at the top of this district. A much needed change!

The situation at OKH Middle School is out of control. I can see why that would scare potential candidates away.

I'm told NC has identified a new coach. I'm not at liberty to say who it is. But if it is who I've heard, it's a good hire.
