Hearing this job will include parents on the interviewing committee (the same parents that wanted one of the assistant coaches to take over), unsure if they do that for teaching jobs as well. Do parents get to influence teaching hires?

An interesting, but unconfirmed twist to this job posting. Rumors are going around that the principal (Hendricks) is leaving, but she is the one doing interviews for the job. That really doesn't matter, I don't think people understand how athletics roll in Nelson County. Whoever the administrator is doesn't matter because there will be no support for the coaches. That is just the climate in the district.

I'm hearing they still have candidates to interview on this and the boys' job. May be a week before we know absolutely for sure.
