Thomas vs Clark, Who is the best running back?

 All I can say about that one is look at the check books!!!

Or they could check record-books??

In high school, which is the only place comparisons can be made, West was the better back. Head-to-head, toe-to-toe, against different competition, against the same competition, it doesn't matter because West was the better back.

After high school Beach seemingly grew into his potential and has made an NFL roster, even though he never stabalized a starting spot at UK.

I'm tickled for him, and I am glad to see any KY kid make their dreams come true. But I still think Beach as a high school football player isn't one of the Top 5 in EKY the last 10 years. And maybe that's good for him because he matured after all the others peaked.

Point being.....quit saying Beach is this or that because he made an NFL roster. There are some of us who seen the two play in high school, and it wasn't that hard to tell who was more impressive on an KY High School field.

Who played better in the KY/TENN all star game? I think that was the last high school game played by Mr. Beach.

Digging for anything, aren't we??

You have to play in an NFL game to be an NFL player. You saw him play an exhibition game, not regular season game. He'll have to make the team all over again next season. He's on payroll because they believe he has the potential to be a NFL player but they are still uncertain. They still want to see more of what he can do. Like I said, I really hope he makes it.... It couldn't happen to a nicer and more deserving guy but don't get ahead of yourself. He's not an NFL player just yet.

He's cashing their checks... and has a contract. That makes him an NFL player. He will be playing on Sunday next year.

Not digging, this was his last high school game. I am just asking because there are way too many variables to possibly compare apples to apples. This is a variable. The record books you refer to are a variables, so are weather conditions, teams strengths and weaknesses both your team and the opposing team, the player's health, the lineman's health, this could go on like Bubba Gump's shrimp fantasies. Nevertheless the last high school game played is a variable.

I know he's stronger. Matt will tell you that. Matt does have another year but both Kasey and Matt are the same age. Matt was held back in 8th grade for B-ball reasons. Kasey has done it for 2 years now and Matt for 2 games. A big measuring stick will be when Ashland plays schools their size. When they play good teams their size and not mediocre teams smaller than them.
