March 13, 20179 yr It is looking uglier every day. Bryan Price better stay in touch with all his contacts. This year will likely be the year for the sacrificial rebuilding lamb to meet the axe.
March 13, 20179 yr Sal Romano had a really good outing yesterday. 10.2 IP 16K 1.69 ERA this spring. Bronson went 2 IP no runs. Fastball touched 87, which is encouraging. Romano has been very good and is starting to get a lot of attention. He is a guy that wasn't on my radar at all coming into this season, but probably should have been. He was very, very good in AA Pensacola last year: 3.52 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and 144 K's in 156 innings. He finished with 1.93 ERA over his last 11 starts.
March 13, 20179 yr Zach BuchananVerified account @ZachENQ Bryan Price said he sees no route for carrying three catchers. Either Mes is healthy with Barnhart, or Mes isn't and it's Turner or Brantly No reported issues after catching Sunday. They are in a tough spot with Meso. He has nowhere else to play.
March 13, 20179 yr Doug Gray @dougdirt24 #Reds LHP Amir Garrett is rebounding quite well after some struggles last time out. 3.0 perfect innings so far, 2 strikeouts. I'm betting he has a very good chance to make the team now that Disco is out.

I'm really looking forward to following the Reds' young staff this year, particularly Stephenson, Garrett, Reed, Romano & Rookie Davis.
March 13, 20179 yr I'm really looking forward to following the Reds' young staff this year, particularly Stephenson, Garrett, Reed, Romano & Rookie Davis. I'd like to delay him a month or two to keep service time down, but I don't think they can.
March 13, 20179 yr I'd like to delay him a month or two to keep service time down, but I don't think they can. They can and they should. Let him get a solid couple month's of work in and then bring him up. It is not like it matters if they have a terrible April and May.

March 15, 20179 yr I'd like to delay him a month or two to keep service time down, but I don't think they can. I think they can, and will. I imagine the rotation when they break camp will be: Finnegan Feldman Stephenson Reed Adleman
March 15, 20179 yr I think they can, and will. I imagine the rotation when they break camp will be: Finnegan Feldman Stephenson Reed Adleman Gross. :lol2:
March 15, 20179 yr Author Keep them all down as long as possible. This team wont be relevant till 2020, 2021 at the earliest.
March 15, 20179 yr I think they can, and will. I imagine the rotation when they break camp will be: Finnegan Feldman Stephenson Reed Adleman Adelman isn't have a great spring. I could see Arroyo over him if he makes the team. Feldman and Reed are locks at this point. Stephenson had a nice outing yesterday. Last 7 IP have been very good.
March 15, 20179 yr Put Garrett in the rotation and get rid of the retreads. I don't want to drive 2.5 hours to GABP and see these castoffs on the mound.
