NKU plays a terrible last 3 minutes of the game.

 

McDonald could not get anything to fall and the entire team defense was awful.

NKU trailed by 1 at the half but took a 7 point lead a couple of times in the second half and led all the way until the under 4 minutes mark. Played an awful last 3 minutes. Gave up easy shots and nothing would fall on the offensive end.

Went from tied for 3rd and just a half game behind 2nd to 5th in the standings today. Three tough home games to close out the season next week.

Fri. Illinois-Chicago 7:30pm

I did not see/hear the game, but to me, that is the most telling stat of the game. NKU is not going to beat very many teams when Murray/Faulkner/McDonald are 2-17 beyond the arc.

 

Fell to 5th in the standings. At this point, I hope they rise to third or fall to six, so they're on the opposite side of the bracket from Valpo (3/6 play on same side as the #2 seed; 4/5 on the same side as 1).

NKU must win 2 of 3 next week to get where they want to be. Three wins would be ideal but obviously Valpo is really good.

Glad to see YSU was able to pull off the upset.

Just watched the replay, and the one saving grace is they could not possibly play worse than that. I hope.
