February 10, 20179 yr Imagine how much more ridiculous the Knicks would look if Oakley had kept his cool and walked out of the arena calmly with all those security people.
February 10, 20179 yr Imagine how much more ridiculous the Knicks would look if Oakley had kept his cool and walked out of the arena calmly with all those security people. Charles Oakley is never going to walk out calmly in a situation like that.
February 10, 20179 yr @ReggieMillerTNT If you're a FA to be, why would you play for an Owner who treats the past greats like this or a President who stabs star player in the back?
February 10, 20179 yr Author I am not saying the Knicks have dealt with Oakley great, but you are kidding yourself if you think Oakley was just some innocent fan watching the game. This dude has threatened Dolan in the past and I have a hard time thinking he was sitting silently and victimized. Given the situation and Oakley's violent history, I thought the security did a solid job of getting him out of there before it got ugly.
February 10, 20179 yr Oakley has rallied the entire city of New York around him and against the owner. He showed more fight in 5 minutes than their team has shown in 5 years.

February 10, 20179 yr Pushing him to the floor is a solid job? First rule of a fight - get him on the ground and get on top of him!
February 10, 20179 yr First rule of a fight - get him on the ground and get on top of him! You sure you are talking about fighting?
February 10, 20179 yr Knicks have a home game tonight. That will be must see TV to see the Oakley jerseys and listen to the crowd.
February 10, 20179 yr Author Pushing him to the floor is a solid job? With getting him out of there. Oakley had shoved a guard and shoved another one in the face. It is reasonable to assume he was seconds from swinging and starting a melee in that section. They saved him from himself. If you want to blame the Knicks for every other thing, that is fine, but from the moment he took that seat to the time he was escorted to the tunnel was on him.

You push a guy to the floor, I would expect him to come up swinging too.
February 10, 20179 yr You push a guy to the floor, I would expect him to come up swinging too. That's hard to do in handcuffs.
