Cooper 69 Ryle 35

From the update thread:

Jags lock up top seed in the district with a 69-35 win.

Balanced scoring, probably 4 or 5 in double figures.

How much time did S. McNeil get' date=' and how was he moving?[/quote']

Both the McNeils looked good. Coach Sully eased them both back in and subbed them frequently. Neither looked slowed by their injuries. Good to see them back on the court.

I would guess that both McNeil's got about 12-14 minutes, they entered the game together late in the 1st quarter.

I thought both looked pretty good.

As for movement from Sean... At one point, Ryle was pressing, he took the inbounds pass and dribbled through the defense... faked a kick out pass and finished at the rim.

They're gonna be a LOAD down the stretch.

Nice win today by the Jags. They eased guys back into the fold offensively and got anything they wanted. As usual the Jags defense was outstanding. Several Ryle possessions consisted of over a minute of good ball movement but just no shots to be found. Cooper's defense is worth the price of admission. They are really good. It was nice to see all the smiles from all the guys. It appeared to me they all were excited about being back together and enjoying the game.

Congrats to Sean for finally getting his 1,000 point this afternoon. He has been sitting on 999 ever since the Lexington Catholic tournament. Great young man. Love watching him play. Expect him to have a very nice career at Bellarmine provided he stays healthy.

Congrats to the Jags. Sounds like a 4th quarter thrashing. Best wishes to both teams moving forward.

Great to hear - great news for the McNeils and NKY HS basketball!

Cooper finished a perfect 18-0 in district play. Freshman, JV and Varsity all finished 6-0. Congrats Jags!
