January 27, 20179 yr I've worked over 20 hours a day multiple times since the inauguration, haven't read many threads post by post. Was just trying to clarify. I've got no problem with the wall. My beef is the lies and rhetoric surrounding the wall. I'm all for torturing and water boarding. I also made a post the day before yesterday in one of the threads(The Wall, maybe) about how impressive he has been getting things done as a businessman.

Im not going to defend him for lying but I'm also impressed with his abilities to get things done thus far. I'm not a Trump guy by any means. I agree with him sometimes, disagree with him sometimes and I think he could be more presidential at times. I do think he's gotten a little better at that but there's room for improvement. My biggest thing is I feel like Hillary would have done much worse, so Trump is at least an improvement over the other option we had. (Johnson and Stein were as bad as Hillary if not worse)

The "War on Immigration" is going to be our next big money dump. It will be right there with the "War on Drugs". Neither are winnable. In both we are taking the absolute worst approach...

I'm more concerned with other things he is doing to curb immigration but the wall is a non issue to me. He's fulfilling a campaign promise in this aspect. I do agree that the War on Immigration will do more harm than good.

But that campaign promise is going to spend an initial $15B+ with ongoing money needed in perpetuity. In addition, because he absolutely sucks at diplomacy he is ticking off our closest geographical ally. Not to mention the cost of tons of consumer goods is about to go up 20%. So...it's a MAJOR issue for me.

So...it's a MAJOR issue for me. Very little I use on a regular basis comes from Mexico, so that increase is irrelevant to me. I don't think the wall is going to accomplish what most think, but I do think it'll slow down some. Illegal immigration is a pretty big issue, something needs to be done, the wall probably isn't the best way to go about it though....We shall see.
