Collins 77 Simon Kenton 76

Collins wins a close one.

Neers are "snake-bit" in close games this year.

I think if Grant beats Walton there would be a three way tie for 2-4 seeds?

Would depend on the outcome of WV/WHS Tuesday. Williamstown win locks them in as the two seed and Walton is playing Grant for the 3 or 4. Williamstown loss, 1/2 will be settled in Walton on Feb. 3.

But if grant beats walton and walton beats williamstown, then I think that Simon, Walton, and W-Town would each have one district win. I do not think that it is a lock that SK is the 4 seed. If Walton loses to both grant and williamstown then Walton is the 4 seed.

I just went head to head games. Never considered it wouldn't be the tiebreaker, but I'm sure it isn't the more I think on it. Makes too much sense.

Probably be:

1 seed Walton

2 seed Grant

3 seed Wtown

4 seed SK

Where will the 32nd district tourney be played this year?

Williamstown

They can get $10 a ticket for that tourney. Should be a good one.

What does the teams of the 8th region have to do to get respect, Oldham beat Trinity this week??

I'm not looking to bash anyone, I think Steiner works very hard, knows what he is doing, etc. I thought they woul be top 4 all year. The region is not terrible but there are no great teams. This is a year SK should make some noise. Right now, I wouldn't bet they make the region. They are likely the 4 seed.

So do you know the tie-breaking rules? If Walton wins these two games in the upcoming month, that means that walton and Grant will only have one district loss.

I would have to believe head to head wins out.

Anderson is not playing up to its abilities. South is struggling a bit due to illness. Collins is dealing with injuries. Shelby is down. Simon is in a funk. I'm not looking to disrespect anyone, I just don't see a bunch of great teams right now. I see some good teams. Oldham may be awesome. I have not seen them yet. I'm not convinced Louisville is as good as normal. Cov Cath is the best team I have seen. I think Cooper would win the 8th fairly easily. Just my opinion.

I think when Collins was full strength, they were very good. I watched them play Trinity, at Trinity, and it was an 8 or 9 point game most of the way. Trinity blew it open midway through the 4th quarter with their press and made the final score look worse than it actually was. Trinity was full strength. Collins was down a little because Fort was playing with an injured foot. I don't think Collins is better than Trinity, but full strength, I wouldn't say Collins couldn't upset them. The problem for Collins is can they get back to full strength with enough time for the team to mesh again. They probably won't be the same team they were the first day Feltner and Fort return.

I feel the top 5 teams in the 8th have played enough 6th & 7th region teams to show they can win games and deserve credit for being a good region. The drop off after the top 5 is pretty big and that is where the number of wins against the rest of the 8th can be misleading. If I was a coach in the 8th I would schedule as many games outside the region against better competition regardless of whether I am padding my wins or not. It will pay off come post season.

Oldham seems to have taken this route and I see them as the favorite in some part due to that preparation.

Correct. Here's an outdated link, but the process is the same, at least in the 32nd.
