Why is the ACLU Afraid of Police Body Cams?

Featured Replies

Sounds like they want to pick and choose who and what gets recorded.

Not suprised by the ACLU.

Amazing.

I have often said the Government, down to local Police Agencies, should utilize Drones anytime you have a large group assembled.

If we would do that, we could Prosecute every last lawbreaker if things ever went wrong.

When police are walking around in a situation like this is their body camera on the entire time?

I have no idea but I bet it varies depending on the agency.

Most have a finite amount of storage and can't record constantly for an entire shift. Officers just flip it on when something is happening or they are interacting with others.

I loved his last quote....."That makes as much sense as watching "The View".

That's what I thought. Her point is moot.

Will you explain it to me?

I'm confused if they are protesting in public what right to privacy do they have? I could record the entire protest if I wanted and be well within my rights.

Absolutely correct. They want the cameras off for some reason though.

I will ask again, I don't understand what point you think is moot?

If the police only turn the cameras on if there's a problem or potential problem then her fear is unfounded.
