Campbell County 83 Highlands 60

Featured Replies

Highlands has a good team and a great coach. I agree with you, it's tough playing good teams at home. And the camels better have their A game with them in Covington.

Cov Cath beats Campbell by 10+

Just curious: Do you think Highlands would have won this game if played at HHS?

I never said that. I think the game would have been closer. And anything is possible. Highlands has good team this yr. Not saying there world beaters but they aren't bad. Campbell County is a very good team and playing at their place is tough.

So with that being said do you think Campbell County will beat Covcath @Covcath?

The last 2 mins of the game was just a bunch 3's being fired by the Birds. So I guess not. The Birds bench and some JV played almost the whole 2nd half. Birds starters played maybe 3 mins of the 3rd an didn't play the rest of the game. Good win at Home. Good luck playing Covcath @Covcath. You will get a little taste of how it's kinda hard to beat good teams at home.

I don't play...and don't have a dog in the fight...but just curious, are you implying that this game had a different outcome if it was played at HHS ?

Explain to me why this happened. Team has been playing well of late and the first time something does not go well the ship is abandoned. Would it not have served the 'team' well going forward to have those kids that are going to be relied on in the tourney try to work through things when the sledding was rough. Builds character and lets them know how much work still lies ahead.

Yeah, I was a bit confused when starters were pulled so early. That's like giving up!

I haven't seen the blueboys this year so any prediction would be total speculation on my part. I am a believer in home court advantage though for whatever that's worth.

I can answer that for you.....CC by 15 :sssh:

 Now you've done it!

Campbell's starters were still in the game late in the 4th qt. JV probably played last 2mins.

Coach Russell played 11 guys throughout the game, including the first half. Are you saying the starters should sit the entire 4th quarter when up by 20? That's crazy. You've got to keep your studs conditioned and in game shape.

Since much of this thread seems crazy to me. I'll add my crazy take on things.

Camels up 18 at the half, Camels win the first half.

Camels win the second half by widening the margin by 5.

Camels win by 23.

Noise in another thread about the Camels 2 point win over Conner at Conner,

but not much said about the Camels 17 point win over Conner on a neutral court.

Birds blow Conner out of the gym with an 11 point win at Highlands...........

Camels will get their due at Cov. Cath. who is ranked anywhere from #1- #4 in the state. Will this be an earth shattering event if the Camels lose to Cov. Cath.

My dad can beat up your dad...... :ohbrother:

If you say so. Up 20 with a few mins left is called conditioning than whatever you say. I seen about 8 guys on an off for most of the game then the bench got cleared.

Won't argue at all how hard it is to beat a good team at their home. Camels lost to an 8-8 Bracken Co. in Brooksville for their only loss this season. Covcath will no doubt win in Parkhills...I have them by 10. In fact, I think Scott is going to be a shootout in Taylor Mill with Camels stretched to win by 8.

Scott will be a tough out in Taylor Mill. Good luck the next couple games! The Birds are playing for the 1 seed in the district against NCC next tuesday. So just got to keep grinding and win that one. I forgot Birds got Dixie Friday night at home. So we get back at it then.
