Game was close the whole way except for a brief period early in the 4th when the Indians pushed their lead out to 12.

I'm assuming Wiggins didn't play tonight for Holy Cross.

From what I've been told he should be ready to lace-em-up for the All 'A' game with Newport.

Rumor is, if he doesn't see the floor vs Newport, he's forgoing his final year and enrolling at Xavier next week

Unofficial Scoring

Holy Cross -

Schrand 23, Niehaus 8, Williams 7, Volpenhein 6, Houston 5, Barnes 4, Zimmerman 4, Macke 1

Ludlow -

Blackburn 17, Eads 12, Hathaway 9,

Paul 8, Booker 4, Bridges 3

* Derrick Barnes was a monster in the paint. Had at least 10 rebounds and 6 blocks tonight. Nolan Schrand with 5 threes for the Indians. I was very impressed with how hard the Ludlow kids played. Very well coached team. Blackburn was hot from the outside.

I also got to run into and talk to Mr. Benny Clary prior to the game. Love catching up with him. Great guy.

I've got to think that this was a pretty good showing for the DIII Ludlow Panthers.

Mr Ludlow Benny Clary right?

Extremely proud of our kids for their effort and determination. We were outsized and out manned but continued to battle to the very end. 12-27 from the stripe was our undoing. Nolan Schrand hit some tough shots with defenders all over him. We had a three in the air to tie it with 24 seconds to go and it didn't fall. Hard to be upset as a coach with the effort we get but no matter how you look at it LOSING SUCKS!!!

Neither team helped themselves from the charity stripe. Holy Cross finishes 15/24 with a few front ends of the bonus late in the game. Derrick Barnes did not allow Ludlow to get anything in the paint last night. Was the difference in the game on the interior.

Looking forward to the All A Tournament at Ludlow next week. It is wide open and should make for some great basketball. Thanks to the Ludlow staff and administration for letting us come in and do radio last night. By the way, the new scores table is very nice :thumb:

Can we have 1 HC thread where someone doesn't instigate negativity? Kids played hard and came away with a win on the road. Leave it at that.

Where are all of the coach Schrand bashers?!?!?!?

Don't worry we're still here. I wasn't at the game so I can't comment on the game itself. Congrats to the players for getting a win.

It's moved to the Holmes,Cooper thread. Congrats to Holy Cross and the Panthers for playing the Indians close.
