All I can say about this that the bottom line comes down to the almighty dollar, nothing more , nothing less. I feel through if the superintendents wants this then they need to move it out of the Expo Center because everybody hates going to that place.

I'm trying to figure out how this expanded region schedule will work.

This MIGHT WORK:

 

MONDAY (GIRLS ROUND OF 16)

- All four 4 at 3 games at four different sites)

 

TUESDAY (BOYS ROUND OF 16)

- All four 4 at 3 games at four different sites)

 

WEDNESDAY (GIRLS ROUND OF 12)

- All four 3 at 2 games at four different sites

 

THURSDAY (BOYS ROUND OF 12)

- All four 3 at 2 games at four different sites

 

FRIDAY (GIRLS ROUND OF 8/QUARTERFINALS)

- Hard to squeeze in four games on a school day, but doable

 

SATURDAY (BOYS ROUND OF 8/QUARTERFINALS)

- All four quarterfinals in one day at the Expo Center would easily be doable

 

SUNDAY (OFF DAY, GIRLS SEMIS OR BOTH SEMIS)

- Not ideal to play on this particular day of week, but you could do all four games in one day at the Expo Center

 

MONDAY (SEVERAL OPTIONS: GIRLS SEMIS WITH BOYS OFF, BOYS SEMIS WITH GIRLS OFF)

- Either the boys still need both semis in or you could have 1/2 championship games here)

 

TUESDAY

- Both finals, unless you want to give each gender a day to its own)

 

WEDNESDAY

- Second championship (assuming we only play 1 on Tuesday)

 

Not ideal. You could have teams playing three games in three days.

Or we STOP alternating and have girls games and boys games the same day (hurting your crowd and media coverage)

 

While the idea seems good in theory, I would have LOVED to have seen a schedule for this thing.
