He follows up his win at Kapalua last week with a first round 59 at the Sony Open! He made a 20 footer on his last hole (#9) for EAGLE to do it. It was really cool to see his best friend on tour, Jordan Spieth react when the ball went in on the last hole. He looked happier than Thomas. He is only the 7th player in tour history to break 60.

Hottest golfer on the planet right now.

Hideki Matsuyama, but I get your point. He's fun to watch.

In Hideki's last 6 tournaments, he has 4 wins and 2 second place finishes. In his 2 second place finishes, Thomas won...so Thomas is the only guy to beat him in ANY of his last six tournaments.

Love this dude. Other than McIlroy he is probably my favorite golfer right now. Weighs a buck 45 soaking wet and absolutely smokes the ball. Plus he's from Kentucky and I remember seeing him in some tournaments when I was younger.

Agreed. Has a great chance to be an international superstar.

Followed up with a smooth 64 yesterday.

Set the all-time PGA record for low score after two rounds with 123.

I was around Thomas a number of times when he was a youngster. His work ethic is off the charts. He is consumed with golf and always has been. His dad would have to make him leave the course. People have no idea how good this kid is.

They're starting to get the picture.

Is he a St. Xavier grad?

And what was his home course in Louisville?

St. X grad. His dad Mike is the PGA professional at Harmony Landing. Great guy.

Thomas has won about 130 individual tournaments amateur and professional. Made a PGA cut following his sophomore year in high school. NCAA player of the year his freshman season at Alabama. He's the real deal.

He will be a very nice addition to the next 20 Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup teams (10 each)...
